Vikram Ravi is a member of the Strategic Energy Analysis Center at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where he leads research at the intersection of energy systems and environment. He uses system dynamics models to generate critical insights into the lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery supply chain, spanning manufacturing, reuse, repurposing, and recycling. In other research, he investigates the resilience of energy systems under extreme events (such as hurricanes and wildfires) providing actionable intelligence to support decision-making for a more resilient energy future. His work also integrates numerical modeling, and machine learning to rigorously quantify the health, air-quality, and economic benefits of interventions in the transportation, industry and power sectors.
