Victor Lara is an engineering and consulting leader specializing in reservoir simulation, with over 20 years of experience in the energy sector. He began his professional journey in 2001 and has been with Computer Modelling Group (CMG) since 2011, where he currently serves as General Manager of the global Customer Success and Consulting (CSC) department. He leads an international team of more than 40 engineers across North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. Throughout his career, Victor has successfully managed strategic projects for key clients including Shell, Oxy, Pluspetrol, Kinder Morgan, ExxonMobil, and Petrobras, excelling in areas such as energy transition, carbon capture and storage (CCS), and advanced reservoir modeling.
