Valentina Lacivita received her PhD degree in Theoretical Chemistry from the University of Torino (Italy). Her expertise is in computational materials science, with applications ranging from semiconductors and materials for (nonlinear) optics to disordered and amorphous materials. She has been working on the atomistic modeling and mechanistic understanding of materials for Li and Na all-solid-state batteries since 2016, when she joined the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory as a postdoctoral researcher. Currently she is Senior Engineer at Samsung Semiconductor Inc. in Cambridge (MA), working on materials development for advanced technologies, including next-generation batteries.
