Urs is a German and European Patent attorney at Mewburn Ellis LLP, one or Europe’s largest IP firms. He works in Mewburn’s Munich office. Urs has master’s degree in physics from the University of Ulm with focus on biophysics. He then completed his PhD at University College Dublin at the Conway Institute for Biomolecular and Biomedical Research.
At Mewburn Ellis LLP, Urs has worked with several start-up companies. He has gained experience designing an IP strategy that contributes to the commercial success of the startups as well as being attractive to inventors. Urs also leads the quantum technology team, which specialises in developing and managing patent portfolios in quantum technology for clients in Europe, USA and elsewhere. Many of Urs’ quantum clients work in the field of quantum sensing.
