Tetsufumi Ikeda is Director General of the Association of Hydrogen Supply and Utilization Technology (HySUT). He has been responsible for the national programs for FCV and hydrogen infrastructure in Japan since 2011. He has also been involved in international collaboration activities.
In 1980, Ikeda joined JXTG Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation (formerly Nippon Oil Co.). In 2000, after twenty years of being involved in several R&D projects related to carbon fiber composite materials, he became responsible for the development of stationary fuel cell systems. In 2005, Ikeda was promoted to General Manager of the Hydrogen & New Energy Research Laboratory of JXTG Nippon Oil & Energy Corporation.
Ikeda holds a master’s degree in Engineering in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Tokyo, School of Engineering.
