Dr. Rakesh Radhakrishnan currently serves as a Technology-to-Market Advisor at the Department of Energy's Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) where he supports technology commercialization efforts for seed level investments in distributed generation, additive manufacturing, carbon neutral aviation and artificial intelligence programs. He also led the team that selected a broad portfolio of energy technologies for pre-commercial investment through the SCALEUP 2021 solicitation. Dr. Radhakrishnan joined ARPA-E in 2019 after a stint at Saudi Aramco as a strategy and business development specialist for their power business. He began his career at United Technologies Research Center (UTRC), managing many renewable energy and energy efficiency research programs. After UTRC, he worked as a strategy consultant at Navigant and Thomson Reuters, supporting a variety of projects across the energy value chain. Dr. Radhakrishnan holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech, an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
