Matt Walker is a Ph.D. student and NSF GRFP Fellow in the Sternberg and Landweber Labs at Columbia University. Matt graduated from Harvard with an A.B. in neurobiology before joining the Chalfie Lab at Columbia, where he worked on the genetics of C. elegans neuron development and became enamored with powerful gene editing tools. Matt is passionate about natural systems of genome engineering and is interested in adapting mechanisms of genome integrity for targeted engineering. Outside of the lab, Matt is also an actor.
