Loraine A. Huchler, P.E., CMC, FIMC, is the founder and president of MarTech Systems, Inc., a consulting firm that assesses and manages risk in water-related utility systems. MarTech’s technical consulting services optimize the water systems in influent, steam, cooling, and wastewater systems in industrial facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, and power plants, as well as the comfort heating and cooling water systems in large-scale corporate and university campuses and manufacturing facilities. Other services include technology feasibility studies, water conservation and water reuse studies, technical training, and expert witness services. Huchler serves as the Chair, Professional Resources and Education for the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC USA) and is an instructor and contributing author for the Institute’s two flagship courses: “Mastering Management Consulting” and “QuickStart, Getting Started in Consulting.” She has authored and presented numerous peer-reviewed papers, published numerous articles and a book, Operating Practices for Industrial Water Management — Influent Water Treatment (Gulf Publishing Co.), and taught several courses related to water treatment. Huchler has a BS in chemical engineering from the Univ. of Rochester, is licensed as a Professional Engineer, and has earned the accreditation Certified Management Consultant (CMC).
