      Lei graduated from Purdue University in 2008 with a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. He then joined AbbVie's Operations Science & Technology organization focusing on small molecule process development and tech transfer. Currently, Lei serves as a Principal Research Scientist II in AbbVie's Bioprocess Development and Launch division. In this role, he leads innovative bioprocess modeling initiatives, applying both mechanistic and AI/ML models to advance processes in both upstream and downstream operations.
