Kristianto Tjiptowidjojo received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and his Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from University of Minnesota. After graduation, he became Postdoctoral Fellow, later promoted to Research Assistant Professor, then to Research Associate Professor at University of New Mexico. Throughout his dissertation and post-graduate works, he has been immersed in modeling and simulation in manufacturing-related flows, including coating, printing, microreplication, and encapsulation. He later took a position at Avery Dennison where he applies his expertise and knowledge in the Engineering Technology department.
He is the current Chair of the 2026 ISCST Symposium in Minneapolis, MN. He previously served as Co-Chair of the 2024 symposium in Atlanta, GA and member of Bylaws Committee. His contribution to the society has been recognized with L. E. Scriven Young Investigator award in 2020.
