Associate Professor Kathy Witt is an internationally recognised social science researcher and leads the Communities & Coexistence theme within the University of Queensland Gas & Energy Transition Research Centre. She has over 20 years’ experience researching social impacts, social license and community acceptance for a range of industries and technologies, including agriculture, mining and gas, hydrogen and future fuels, CCS, radioactive waste, and renewable energy. She advises governments and industry in Australia and overseas, and chairs the Social Impact Assessment section of the International Association for Impact Assessment.
