Kara recently graduated Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering - Biological Engineering and a minor in Pharmaceutical Science. During undergraduate studies, Kara participated in the Co-Op program and worked at Bristol Myers Squibb within the Operational Excellence department. What started as a 6-month Co-Op grew into a 1.5 year experience where she completed more than 15 projects across the Biologics site and also obtained a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt. Kara is currently continuing her work in the pharmaceutical industry and will be starting her master's degree in chemical engineering at UML in Fall 2026.
