Joseph Scott ProfessorClemson UniversityJoseph K. Scott is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Clemson University. He received his B.S. (2006) in Chemical Engineering from Wayne State University, and his M.S. (2008) and Ph.D. (2012) in Chemical Engineering from MIT. His honors include the 2012 Best Paper Award for the Journal of Global Optimization and the 2016 Air Force Young Investigator Research Program Award. His research interests include dynamical systems, optimization theory, advanced process control, and fault diagnosis. Current applications focus optimization and control of renewable energy systems.
