Dr. John Flake serves as a Professor of Chemical Engineering and as Associate Vice President for Research at LSU. John holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Tech. Prior to joining LSU, his work focused on electrochemical processing at IBM’s T.J. Watson Research Center and Motorola’s Advance Product R&D Laboratories. Since joining LSU, his work focuses on materials and the conversion of carbon dioxide to high-value products. He is a cofounder of ENCORE CO2 and has published over 40 peer-reviewed papers and 12 patents related to materials and electrochemical processes.
