Ji Xu is an associate professor of chemical engineering at Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences where he also received his PhD. He is mainly engaged in multi-scale method to realize the virtual process engineering, especially for the gas-solid flow. His work includes establishment of high performance computing methods, including algorithm design of CPU/GPU coupled large-scale parallel computation of discrete particle methods, e.g. molecular dynamics (MD) and discrete element method (DEM).
