- For the last three and a half years, Jean-Paul Baumgartner has lead the Department’s engagement on projects associated with the regulation of hydrogen across the Commonwealth, states and territories.
- This has included leading the department on the following projects:
- National Hydrogen Regulatory Review - a review of all legislation, in all jurisdictions across Australia, which evaluated that legislation in respect of its suitability and compatibility with supporting the growth of Australia’s hydrogen industry.
- National Hydrogen Regulatory Guidebooks - this project will publish detailed guidance on those regulatory obligations which are most significant for hydrogen project proponents.
- Prior to working in the hydrogen space, Jean-Paul spent 10 years working in a wide range of regulatory compliance and administrative law roles across Commonwealth government.
- Jean-Paul has a Juris Doctor (law degree) and is an admitted solicitor.
