Mr. Inwoo Lee holds a master's degree in chemical engineering from Chungbuk National University and he also obtained the certificate in Professional Gas Engineer in 2008, which is the highest national qualification in the field of gas in South Korea. He is the current Deputy General Manager of the Hydrogen Safety Policy Department at the Institute of Hydrogen Safety Technology, Korea Gas Safety Corporation (KGS). KGS's vision is; 'the Best Gas Safety Responsible Organisation Trusted by the People'. KGS is a government agency in charge of gas safety management in South Korea, all types of gas, including hydrogen, high-pressure gas, LP gas, and city gas. KGS specializes in inspection, education&training, public relations, safety management policies, etc., entrusted by the government. After joining KGS in 2001, he performed various tasks such as on-site gas facility inspection, establishing gas-accident prevention measures, and making significant gas safety policies. Since January 2021, he has been in charge of performing overall hydrogen safety tasks at the Institute of Hydrogen Safety Technology. These safety tasks include hydrogen facility inspection & diagnosis management for charging stations and production bases, implementing the Comprehensive Measure for Hydrogen Safety Management, and establishing hydrogen safety infrastructure.
