Giorgio was born in Naples, Italy. He graduated at University Federico II of Naples with a Master Degree cum laude in Chemical Engineering in 1996. He then entered the Italian Army in the Corps of Engineers as production lieutenant. After his active duty, Giorgio moved to Milan as junior and then senior Process Engineer at Tecnimont a blue chip italian EPC company. After a full time M.B.A. course at the S.D.A. Bocconi in Milan, in 2002 he moved to Dalmine Energie, the energy trading company of the Tenaris Group, as Business Development Manager. In 2004 Giorgio moved to the Strategic Planning Department of Snamprogetti and then Saipem following the merger of the two companies. Giorgio joined GE Oil&Gas in Florence at the end of 2006. Here he worked as Downstream Marketing Manager in the Equipment Division and then as Platform Leader for the Refining and Petrochemical sectors.
