Geoff Penno

Geoff has over 40-years’ experience in Safety and Environmental Management Systems.  This experience covers aspects of identification, consequence assessment and management of safety and environmental risks.  Experience covers both off-shore and on-shore facilities and has been based on an industrial background with regulatory experience at both a State and National level.  Regulatory experience involved the assessment of major industrial developments, development of Licence Conditions and inspection of a large number and broad range of industries (oil processing, chemical and mining) for legislative compliance. The existential crisis that we are facing has led to a personal and professional goal as Technical Manager for Environmental Risk Solutions Pty Ltd of contributing to alternate energy systems and working with industry and regulators to streamline approaches to the design and regulatory approvals for new and innovative alternate energy systems including those associated with hydrogen.
