Eoin McManus is Chief Operations Officer with APC Ltd, an award-winning and rapidly growing science and technology-driven pharmaceutical process research company, headquartered in Ireland. In the space of 7 years, it has pioneered innovation in the sector through extensive use of PAT and modelling and now partners with 8 of the top-10 pharma and 5 of the top-10 biotech firms in the world.
In 1991, Eoin graduated University College Dublin, in Ireland with a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering and joined Eli Lilly and Company. During 27 years with Eli Lilly, he held a large number of technical and leadership roles within manufacturing, engineering and R&D including Director for Technology Design and Development within Chemical Process R&D, and also Business Unit Leader – Small Molecule Operations at Lilly’s Kinsale site in Ireland. He has extensive experience in the commissioning and operation of manufacturing facilities, in process technical transfer and validation and in the implementation of new technologies in the GMP environment. He has championed the implementation of novel technologies such as continuous processing within Eli Lilly and APC.
