Dr. E. Andrew (Andy) Boyd is a scheduled contributor to the Engines of Our Ingenuity, a nationally syndicated program produced by Houston’s National Public Radio affiliate, KUHF, part of Houston Public Media. He is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at both Texas A&M University and the University of Houston, having spent ten years as a university professor and another ten as Chief Scientist at the analytics firm PROS. Dr. Boyd received his A.B. with Honors at Oberlin College with majors in mathematics and economics in 1981, and his Ph.D. in Operations Research from MIT in 1987. He was elected an INFORMS Fellow in 2007.
