Rashi Tiwari, is currently Associate Director Technical Services and Development for the North America Packaging and Specialty Plastics business at Dow. Her portfolio encompasses Food and Specialty Packaging, Industrial and Consumer Packaging, Sustainability and End-Use, where in she is responsible for building the innovation pipeline. She joined Corporate R&D at Dow in 2012. Rashi was instrumental in increasing collaboration between strategic Dow businesses and led multiple projects with businesses such as Dow Solar and Dow Water and Process Solutions.
Rashi has over 10 years of experience in commercializing diverse technologies through customer-centric mindset, “value-in-use” assessment of technologies and developing innovation strategy for various market segments. She is a champion for building diverse and inclusive teams and is actively involved in various initiatives at Dow and Society of Women Engineers (SWE).
She has published five patents, two books, two book chapters, sixteen journal articles, twenty eight conference proceedings and has delivered over forty presentations. She is currently serving on two national committee steering teams in SWE. She has led her team in developing novel solutions resulting in several prestigious awards including the R&D 100 and Edison awards.
Rashi received her PhD from the University of Nevada, Reno in Mechanical Engineering specializing in electroactive polymers followed by post-doctoral research at Cornell University on energy harvesting. She and her husband, Kaustav are proud parent of nine year old daughter Eira. When not working Rashi enjoys reading and traveling.
