
David A. Rockstraw, PhD, P.E. is the principal of the Inc. that bears his name (P.O. Box 7, Mesilla, NM 88046; Email: david@davidarockstrawphdpe.com). He serves as a chemical process consultant and expert witness in matters of chemical phenomena and analysis, intellectual property (IP), and chemical processing and design. Rockstraw has testified on dozens of occasions in the U.S. Federal Court, International Trade Commission, European Patent Office (Germany), Vienna International Arbitral Centre (Austria), International Court of Arbitration (France), and Superior Court of Justice (Canada), as well as numerous state courts around the U.S. Rockstraw was formerly the Robert Davis Distinguished Professor and Academic Head of Chemical & Materials Engineering, the Interim Academic Head of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, and the Creator and Director of Brewery Engineering at New Mexico State Univ. Prior to his 26-year career in academia, Rockstraw worked for a decade in the chemical processing industry as a research and development engineer with DuPont, Conoco, Ethyl, and Kraft, and was a visiting scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratories. Rockstraw completed a PhD in chemical engineering at the Univ. of Oklahoma, a BS in chemical engineering at Purdue Univ., and is a licensed P.E. in Texas, New Mexico, and California.
