Daisy Gallagher is a Senior Geologist and Project Manager at Geostock Sandia in Houston, Texas, where she leads teams on Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) and Underground Injection Control (UIC) permitting projects throughout the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
She holds a B.S. in Geology from Northern Illinois University (2004) and an M.S. in Geology from the University of Georgia (2013), and brings more than 10 years of experience in geologic consulting, regulatory compliance, and deep-well injection technologies. At Geostock Sandia—a recognized industry leader in carbon sequestration with over 45 CCS projects since 2002—Daisy plays a central role in the planning, permitting, and execution of Class I (hazardous and non-hazardous), Class V, and Class VI CO₂ deep injection wells. With extensive knowledge of UIC regulations at both the state and federal levels, she specializes in regulatory interfacing, permitting strategy, and integrating compliance into risk assessment frameworks. Daisy also works closely with multidisciplinary teams on geologic and reservoir modeling, supporting engineering efforts in well design, drilling, construction, and testing.
A significant milestone in her career includes serving as the wellsite geologist for the third operational Class VI CO₂ injection well in the U.S., where she oversaw site testing, coring, and geologic analysis critical to the project’s success. When she is not working on a permit or drilling a well, Daisy enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her cat; Harriet Tubkitten.
