Charles W. Lipp, Principal Consultant at Lake Innovation LLC, focuses on spray technology and complex fluid mechanics. The confidential consulting practice includes technology development, training development, and plant problem-solving to identify solutions. He authored the book Practical Spray Technology: Fundamentals and Practice and several spray technology articles. Charles serves on the Board of Directors for the Institute of Liquid Atomization and Spray Systems (ILASS) Americas.
Before starting Lake Innovation LLC, he was a technical leader with The Dow Chemical Company’s Engineering and Process Sciences Fluid Mechanics and Mixing group. During his 35-year career at Dow, Charles worked on numerous spray technology process applications beginning with coal gasification slurry atomization. He led the development and scale-up of manufacturing process technology projects that resulted in over 15 US patents.
