Cayla Cook studies the impacts of micro-and nanoplastics across all water matrices. This includes investigating removal technologies, implementing monitoring initiatives, and building a database to advance understanding of contamination. Her experience includes process design, analysis, and operations for both water and wastewater treatment facilities as well as research in polymer science, assessment of biopolymer nanotechnology, analysis of microplastic quantification methods, and evaluation of environmental and human health impacts of plastic and plastic-associated additives.
