Arshad Kudrolli is Professor of Physics and Jan and Larry Landry University Professor at Clark University. He received a B. Tech. in engineering physics from the Indian Institute of Technology-Bombay in 1990, and a Ph.D. in physics at Northeastern University in 1995. He then was a postdoctoral research associate at Haverford College working with Jerry Gollub, and joined the faculty at Clark University in 1997. He is the recipient of an Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship (1998) and was elected Fellow of the American Physical Society in 2010. He does research on granular matter, fluid dynamics, and soft matter using experimental techniques which include optical fluorescent index matching and micro x-ray tomography. He is currently funded to do research on sediment transport in channels, erosion and dynamic filtration by the National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy.
