Anne has 7 years of experience as a process development engineer at Merck.  Currently working at the Rahway site in the Chemical Engineering Research and Development department within Merck Research Laboratories, she is responsible for the development, scale-up, and commercialization of drug substance processes from initial introduction through to launch and supply.  She is also responsible for the production and delivery of drug supplies to support safety assessment, clinical trials, and formulation development.  During her professional tenure, her process development experience has spanned reaction optimization, liquid-liquid extractions, crystallization and impurity rejection, in addition to drying and particle size control, the latter of which has been published in Organic Process Research & Development.  Anne has extensive experience at pilot scale due to her time as an operations engineer in one of the API pilot plants, where she was the primary interface between the lab-side project engineers and the pilot plant building and operations staff.  She has extended this operations experience to the manufacturing side by successfully tech transferring several projects to Merck commercial facilities, including successful validation demonstrations.
