Andres F. Cabeza is a second-year PhD student in the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, working in the SECQUOIA research group. His research focuses on process design, optimization, and the integration of computational and machine learning methods in chemical engineering. He has worked on heat-exchanger network synthesis and intensified reaction and separation processes, presenting his work at international conferences. Andres has received recognition, such as the 2023 AIChE LatinX in Chemical Engineering award. He holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and previously gained professional experience as a Design Engineer in Colombia.
