Dr. Alejandro Crespo is a computational chemistry leader with over 15 years of experience advancing small-molecule and biologics drug discovery across the pharmaceutical industry. He currently leads the Computational Chemistry function at Amgen, supporting a global portfolio across oncology, inflammation, cardiometabolic, and rare diseases.

Previously, he headed Computational Drug Discovery at EMD Serono/Merck KGaA, and held scientific roles at Merck & Co., Inc., contributing to programs from target validation to candidate selection. Dr. Crespo has authored over 50 scientific publications, is co-inventor on 10+ patents, and has presented at international conferences including ACS, CCG, and Gordon Research Conferences.

He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Buenos Aires and is known for blending technical innovation with collaborative leadership to drive impactful therapeutic discovery.
