Al Pristera currently directs the Project Development activities at Nalco. In this role he works closely with key sales, management and technology staff to implement and execute medium and long-term business development strategies and projects. He has played a significant role in the development of new projects that implement Nalco’s proprietary anaerobic technologies for treatment of high-strength organic wastewater and the recycle/reuse of effluents, providing conceptual design, commercial review and pricing support. In addition, Mr. Pristera has been part of the management team chartered to identify and evaluate new technologies and companies for acquisition or licensing.
Mr. Pristera has broad technical background including all types of chemical/physical, membrane, ion exchange, and biological treatment systems. Most recently his emphasis has been in the area of recycle/reuse of wastewaters within industrial plants. Prior to his employment with Nalco, Mr. Pristera served as vice president of sales and marketing at Ondeo Degremont, Inc., a company specializing in water and wastewater treatment plants. During his tenure with Ondeo Degremont, Mr. Pristera was responsible for directing sales and marketing activities in both the municipal and industrial markets.
He holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and has been involved in providing solutions to the the water and wastewater industry throughout his 40 year career.
