
RAFAEL HUIRACHE ACUÑA, Ph.D. was born in Mexico and studied Chemical Engineering at the Michoacan University of Saint Nicholas of Hidalgo (UMSNH) in Morelia Michoacan Mexico from 1995 to 2000, subsequently, he completed his Ph.D. in Materials Science at The Advanced Materials Research Center in Chihuahua Mexico (2003-2007) with a research stage at the Instituto di Chimica dei Composti Organometallici in Florence Italy before moving to NationalAutonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) as postdoctoral researcher (2008-2009). Dr. Huirache is professor and research associate at Chemical EngineeringFaculty-UMSNH. Field of studies: Synthesis and Characterization of Catalysts, Synthesis of Nanostructures. Recent Studies: Synthesis of HDS Catalysts supported on mesoporous silica, Synthesis of transition metal oxide/sulfide nanostructures.
