Tomoaki Matsuura is a Professor at Earth-Life Science Institute (ELSI) at Institute of Science Tokyo (formal Tokyo Institute of Technology) since 2020. He received his phD at Osaka University and did a postdoc at the University of Zurich, and an Assistant and Associate Professor at Osaka University. His interests are directed evolution of proteins using cell-free systems, and artificial cell assembly using the cell-free system.
