Joseph Scott

Joseph Scott is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He received his B.S. (2006) in Chemical Engineering from Wayne State University, and his M.S. (2008) and Ph.D. (2012) in Chemical Engineering from MIT. His honors include the 2012 Best Paper Award from the Journal of Global Optimization, the 2016 W. Ashlee N. Ford Versypt

Dr. Ford Versypt earned a B.S. from the University of Oklahoma and an M.S. and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, all in Chemical Engineering. She did her postdoc at MIT. She started her academic career at Oklahoma State University before joining the University at Buffalo Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering as a tenured associate professor in January 2021. Urmila Diwekar

S. Joe Qin

Dr. S. Joe Qin is currently Chair Professor, Dean of the School of Data Science, and Director of Hong Kong Institute for Data Science at City University of Hong Kong. In his prior career he was the Fluor Professor at the Viterbi School of Engineering of the University of Southern California, Endowed Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, and Principal Engineer at Emerson Process Management.

Harold T. Conner, Jr.

Harold Conner has been active in AIChE since he graduated from the Univ. of Tennessee in 1968. He has been actively engaged in the local sections of the Central Savannah River Area and Knoxville-Oak Ridge since the early 1970s. He has served AIChE for 26 years, most recently as Chair of the Management Div. in 2024 and Past Chair in 2025. Conner became a Fellow of AIChE in 2018 and received the AIChE Management Div. Murat Sen

Murat Sen, PhD, is a senior engineer in the Energy Research & Innovation Division at Phillips 66 Co. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from Bogazici Univ., Turkey, and his PhD in chemical engineering from the Univ. of Wisconsin-Madison.
