Joe Pegna, the lead cofounder of Free Form Fibers, has 20 years of research experience pursuing advanced computer-driven manufacturing processes known as free form fabrication. In the early 1990’s he settled on laser-induced chemical vapor deposition (LCVD) as the most promising means to achieve his goal. Abraham A. Kister is an undergraduate junior studying chemical engineering at Univ. of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he has been involved in the local AIChE chapter. Throughout his time in university, he has partnered with Fluor’s subject-matter experts Henry Kister and Garry Jacobs as a voluntary research assistant on their parting box testing project.
