Jen (Zhen) Huang has over fifteen years of experience in water, wastewater and biological engineering. As Senior Director of Research & Development at Cambrian Innovation, Jen develops research and development roadmap to systematically achieve technology trajectory goals, and manages grants and projects related to the company’s growing suite of environmental products. Katy Kao

Katy Kao is an associate professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University. She received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her work focuses on microbial adaptation for biotechnology and biomedicine. She was awarded the National Research Service Award by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation CAREER Award, the TEES Young Select Faculty, and several teaching awards, including the Fluor...Read more

Patrick Westfall

Patrick Westfall completed his PhD in Botany from the University of Georgia in 2001.  After post-doctoral research at the University of California, San Francisco and the University of California, Berkeley he joined Amyris Biotechnologies in Emeryville, California in 2006. While at Amyris, Patrick was a lead scientist for the development a microbial production platform for the  anti-malarial compound, Artemisinin.
