D.I.C. Wang Award Lecture

In appreciation of Prof. Daniel I.C. Wang’s contributions to education and research in biochemical engineering as well as his technological innovations in bioprocessing. This award has been established by the Society for Biological Engineering.

Thorsten Stafforst

Thorsten Stafforst started his independent lab in 2011 at the University of Tübingen, where he is now full professor for nucleic acid biochemistry. He studied Chemistry at the University of Göttingen, obtained his PhD in 2005 in Bioorganic Chemistry, and moved for a Postdoc with Prof. Don Hilvert at ETH Zurich. His research is focussed on the engineering of programmable RNA-targeted proteins.
