Ahmad (Mo) Khalil is the Dorf-Ebner Distinguished Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering and the Founding Associate Director of the Biological Design Center at Boston University. Juergen Knoblich

Juergen Knoblich is the vice director of IMBA, the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology in Vienna, Austria. He obtained his PhD from the Max Planck Institute in Tübingen. After a postdoctoral period in the laboratory of Yuh Nung Jan at UCSF, San Francisco, he joined the Institute of Molecular Pathology (Vienna) as a group leader in 1997. In 2004, he moved to the newly founded IMBA where he became deputy director in 2005. David has a bachelor of Chemical Engineering and a recent MBA. While serving as manager of technical support for CHEMCAD he has developed the alliance with Azbil to combine process simulation models with advanced process controls. Chemstations and Azbil are currently expanding the use of commercial process simulators into controls projects, developing first principles models as an alternative to the black box, statistical, custom code, or LP models that are traditionally used by controls and optimization groups.Read more
