Shankar Subramaniam is a Distinguished Professor of Bioengineering, Bioinformatics and Systems Biology, Computer Science & Engineering, Cellular & Molecular Medicine and Nano Engineering. He was recently the Chair of the Bioengineering Department at the University of California at San Diego (2008-13).
