An understanding of organizational change management (OCM) — an often overlooked subject — is essential for successful corporate decision making with little adverse effect on the health and safety of employees or the surrounding community.

Foundation Raises $1 Million in 2012

2012 was a year of fundraising success and growth in program support thanks to the generous support from individuals and corporations. The AIChE Foundation raised over one million dollars from existing and new campaigns, a 50% increase in revenue versus 2011.

Nomination Instructions

Nomination Process

A nomination package consisting of the nominee’s CV, a nomination letter and two supporting letters should be sent as a single file in pdf format to the CoMSEF Chair (chair@comsef.org) by May 1 each year. The nomination should provide a clear statement as to the impact of the nominees work on the field and an award citation of 25 words or less, beginning with the word ‘For’. Self-nominations are discouraged. Renomination of candidates is encouraged. It is recommended, but not required, that the contents of the nomination package be updated each year; while supporting letters may be re-used the nomination form must have current dates.

Selection Process

The award recipient will be chosen based on the overall strength of the research accomplishments of the candidates by an ad hoc selection committee consisting of the current CoMSEF Chair, the CoMSEF Vice-Chair and two representatives drawn from related organizations (e.g., Area 1a Programming Committee, CACHE Trustees). A decision regarding the award recipient is expected to be made by July 1.

Jon Freedman

Freedman is a recognized expert and frequent speaker on water policies.  He has recently spoken on water issues at conferences in China, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and the United States.  He also serves on the Board of Directors of the WateReuse Association, and chairs its National Legislative Committee.  In that capacity, Freedman helps set the Association’s legislative agenda and leads visits with government officials to advocate for greater water reuse.
