AIChE’s Spring Meeting and 8th Global Congress on Process Safety is expected to draw nearly 2,000 chemical engineers with lectures, 9 topical conferences and hundreds of technical sessions

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) announced that David A. Rosenthal, reliability delivery and assets management manager for Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc. in its Houston, Texas office will become president of the 40,000 member organization in 2012.

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), the world’s leading organization for chemical engineers, is holding its Annual Meeting here this week to discuss topics that include energy, water supply and quality, sustainability, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. More than 5,000 engineers and students from around the world are expected.

In an effort to expand and accelerate the investigation of novel sources of alternative energy, the Society for Biological Engineering is sponsoring a new conference series on Electrofuels Research.
