Transportation Risk Assessment (TRA) is an essential aspect of risk management. TRA manages transportation risks by considering hazards, routes, and impacts. This promotes the identification of major contributors to the risk and thus strategies for risk reduction. TRA includes consideration of toxic, flammability, explosivity, and security risks. This session includes papers that provide TRA examples and application experience, tools and methods, and risk management decisions made as a result of these assessments.
