In February, AIChE formed a task force to actively monitor the development and impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) on global travel and to minimize risk to attendees of our events.
On Monday March 9, the AIChE Board of Directors approved a postponement of the AIChE Spring Meeting & Global congress on Process Safety. Given recent developments, we agreed that a postponement is the best course of action to ensure the health and safety of our attendees, presenters, exhibitors, and staff.
We have worked closely with the Hilton and George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston to establish new dates, August 16-20, 2020.
We will work with attendees, sponsors, exhibitors, and vendors to ensure smooth transition to those dates. More details will be provided as soon as possible.
All currently registered attendees will retain their registration for the new dates. If the change in dates causes a change in your ability to attend the meeting, please review the FAQ page on the postponement of the Spring Meeting & Global Congress on Process Safety for information on options available to you.
We are disappointed that we will not be able to hold the meeting as originally scheduled and deeply appreciate our volunteers who have developed such a fantastic program. Thankfully, that work will not go to waste as we look forward to bringing our communities together later this year.
