2013 AIChE Biennial Employment and Salary Survey

This article will report the results of AIChE’s recently completed biennial salary and employment survey, which received responses from over 3,000 U.S.-based members. It will include data on base salaries, as well as correlations of salary with work experience, location (state and major U.S. metropolitan areas), functional area, industry, age, supervisory level, highest degree earned, and gender, as well as data on median raises. It will also include questions about retirement benefits. The analysis will be based on 2,502 responses (incompletes, retired, full-time students, unemployed not seeking employment were excluded from the gross total of 3,190). The full report will be posted on the CEP website and all members will have access to it, and a shorter version (approx. 6 pgs) will run in CEP. The longer version will be marketed to nonmembers, recruiters, employers, etc.
