A Robot That Acts Like a Houseplant

Scientists at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) have developed the first soft robot that can curl and climb like a plant. The novel robotic tendrils mimic green limbs of vegetation as they move and coil, wrapping around and interacting with their surroundings.
