Type 567 (wafer style) and Type 568 (lug style) butterfly valves are now available with large diameters (2–12 in. for Type 567 and 2–8 in. for Type 568). They feature a disc and liner made of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and seals made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) that provide excellent chemical resistance over a wide temperature range. Both valves have an operating temperature range of –20°C to 120°C (–4°F to 248°F), and can be electrically or pneumatically actuated. They also offer bidirectional capability and a high pressure rating of 150 psi. The valves are suitable for use in chemical processing, chlorine electrolysis, chemical production, food and beverage sanitation, pulp and paper, and steel production applications.
