The SmartCET corrosion transmitters are now ATEX-certified and can be used in potentially explosive atmospheres in the European Union. Integrated with the firm’s Experion Process Knowledge System, SmartCET provides online, real-time data that measure the corrosion rate in mm/yr and detects the presence of localizing corrosion conditions. Other SmartCET parameters can be used for further online corrosion diagnostic analysis and for improved accuracy of corrosion rate data. This results in increased plant uptime, reduced maintenance costs, maximized production throughput and improved safety. The transmitters are available in three configurations: multivariable output with four real-time corrosion measurements; single variable with output for general corrosion rate; and single variable with output for pitting factor.
