SentryScan uses microwaves to detect most breaks, holes or tears in a separator’s wire-mesh screens. The device emits a low-power microwave signal that is blocked by woven metal screen mesh. When a break in the screen occurs, the receiving module detects a signal change and triggers an alert, which the operator can choose to receive as a warning light, audible alarm, or remote signal sent to a central process control system.
