The Model 675 submersible level transmitter operates in slurries and other highly viscous environments where sensor clogging may occur. Using a 3.5-in. flush diaphragm that is contained within a stainless steel cage, this transmitter offers continuous functionality in tough, demanding and dirty applications. The instrument is made from Type 316L stainless steel, can perform at depths to 138 ft of water, and, when used with the approved barrier, is certified as intrinsically safe for Class 1, Div 1, Groups A, B, C, D and Class II, Groups E, F, G environments. The transmitters determine liquid level by continuously measuring hydrostatic pressure through an ion-implanted silicon semiconductor chip with an integral Wheatstone bridge circuit. After measuring the pressure, the instrument transmits the level data via a 4–20-mA output signal.
