The new Liqui-Flux ultrafiltration module has a total membrane area of 75 m2. The pressure-driven module is said to be one of the largest ultrafiltration modules of its kind. The large surface area within the membrane bundle structure allows individual modules to have a smaller system footprint and lower capital costs than other systems with comparable throughput. At the heart of the Liqui-Flux module is the company’s UltraPES polyethersulfone hollow-fiber membrane. The membrane has a distinct three-layer structure to ensure maximum permeability and reliability. Additionally, the UltraPES membrane is hydrophilic and exhibits excellent chemical resistance. Its low pressure requirements and favorable backwash hydrodynamics allow for long-term, energy-efficient filtration. Test equipment and laboratory services are available to help with startup, optimization, and integration of the modules into the final process.
